MEETING & LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Deputy Director, this position is responsible
for coordinating CFILC program logistics. This position is responsible for
organizing and coordinating logistics in order to ensure program meetings,
activities, and events are successful.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Negotiate and coordinate meeting venues such as hotels, food, accessible
transportation, and equipment that may include tents, chairs, tables,
sound equipment, internet technologies etc;

· Coordinate logistics for meetings, trainings, and community events;

· Coordinate access accommodation requests for all CFILC program functions
including alternate formats, interpreters, physical access, captioning and
personal attendants;

· Coordinate logistics for all CFILC teleconferencing, webinars and
in-person conferences, trainings and meetings;

· Record and maintain minutes for committees of the CFILC Board of
Directors and other CFILC program meetings in-person, off-site and
virtually;

· Moderation of some CFILC program webinars;

· Provide support to all CFILC personnel and board;

· Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

· A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree OR at least 3 years experience in
disability, communications, event management or community organizing;
· Ability to operate in an computer-based office environment;
· Required high-level use computer experience with Microsoft Word and
Excel at minimum;
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret information from a wide variety
of sources;
· Ability to communicate and negotiate with a wide variety of vendors,
businesses and state entities;
· Ability to maintain confidentiality;
· Ability to meet deadlines;
· Ability to initiate projects, work independently and with a team;
· Ability to plan and effectively communicate information about detailed
logistics;
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize competing demands, projects and/or
assignments;
· Ability to arrange necessary transportation must be maintained
throughout employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Knowledge of concepts and philosophy of independent living and consumer
empowerment;
· Personal experience with a disability;
· Experience working with people with disabilities;
· Familiarity with disability access accommodations.
· Bilingual English/Spanish;
