Refusal to be on television may doom ME special

Ms. Sonia Poulton, a British journalist has undertaken a television
special to focus on the plight of children with ME, but has been
unable to find any families who are willing to go public with their
plight.

Ms. Poulton is perhaps understandablely frustrated because patients
lobby strongly for journalists who will listen to them and make their
side of things public and then want "someone else" to do it.

At this point it is possible the special will not air, and patients
may lose a key opportunity and the rare journalist willing to listen
and take patients seriously, unless families step forward.
